Your AXP hours, area by area

For interns working toward their license with NCARB’s Architectural Experience Program: each hour you log goes to one of its six experience areas, from the phase’s AIA code unless you pick another (SD and DD to Project Planning & Design, CD to Project Development & Documentation, BID and CA to Construction & Evaluation), overhead to Practice or Project Management. A bar for each area against its hours, 3,740 in all. Traceroll isn’t connected to NCARB: you type the numbers into My NCARB yourself.

Each month’s hours by area, to the quarter hour, with the experience report’s dates; mark it reported once it’s in My NCARB. A line tells you when hours not reported yet near a year old: after a year, NCARB counts them at 75 %.

Supervisor

Your AXP supervisor looks first

Send a month to your AXP supervisor by email: a link, no account, where they confirm it or send a comment back before you submit it. Their approval for NCARB still happens in My NCARB.

How to add it

In Settings, when you’re ready

Open Settings → Rolls → Country → United States.
AXP: Activate, then Start your AXP: the day it counts from, your supervisor and their email, the firm.
Log your time as usual: each entry says its area. Change it there when the phase’s isn’t right, or say it isn’t AXP experience.

Take it off the same way: Deactivate. What it kept stays, for when you add it again.
